Passing the Torch at VACenter

Passing the Torch at VACenter

Dear VACenter Community,

Today, I am writing to share a significant update regarding my journey with VACenter.

After careful consideration and with a profound sense of gratitude, I am officially announcing that I have relinquished my last responsibilities within VACenter. As I updated you last year, I stepped down from my role as CEO, paving the way for a co-ownership structure led by Robin and Matei.

It’s been a long transition but I am confident that under the capable leadership of Robin and Matei, VACenter will continue to thrive and reach new heights. Their dedication and vision for the future align seamlessly with the values that have been at the core of VACenter since its inception.

I want to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to each and every member of the VACenter community. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in the success and growth of the Infinite Flight 3rd party space. It has been a privilege to work alongside such a talented and committed team made up of so many people.

Reflecting on my time at VACenter, I am filled with a deep sense of fulfilment and pride in what we have achieved together. While my role within the company may have evolved, my support for VACenter remains unwavering. I have every confidence that the company is in excellent hands and will continue to flourish.

As I embark on my new endeavours, I carry with me the invaluable experiences and lessons learned during my time here. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am grateful for the memories created with this incredible community.

I do remind people that the VACenter Open Source projects I started towards the end of my tenure will remain active, and do welcome contributors.

Thank you all once again for your support, collaboration, and dedication. I am confident that VACenter’s journey is only beginning, and I look forward to witnessing its continued success.

Wishing you all the best,

Sam Neale

Dear ATLAS Users,

At VACenter, we are committed to providing you with the best crew center experience for your virtual airline operations in the Infinite Flight Flight Simulator. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our services and ensure the sustainability of our platform, we would like to inform you about some upcoming changes to the ATLAS Free plan allowances.

Effective with the release of version 1.3, which is scheduled to be launched very soon, we will be adjusting the allowances as follows:

PIREP Allowance:
The number of allowed PIREPs on the Free plan will be lowered from 1500 to 1000. Please note that any PIREPs exceeding this limit will not be deleted; however, you will not be able to create new PIREPs until you reduce the total number to meet the new threshold.

Member Allowance:
The number of allowed members on the Free plan will be reduced from 65 to 50. Existing members exceeding this limit will remain in your virtual airline; however, you will not be able to add new members until you adjust your membership count to comply with the new restriction.

These adjustments are necessary to maintain the quality and sustainability of our platform, allowing us to continue offering you a reliable and feature-rich crew center experience. By optimizing our resources, we can ensure better performance and enhance the overall user experience for all virtual airlines.

We understand that these changes may have an impact on your virtual airline operations, and we want to assure you that your existing PIREPs and members will not be deleted.

Additionally, we are now accepting donations to support our ongoing development efforts. If you find value in the ATLAS crew center and would like to contribute, please consider visiting our donation page at https://donate.stripe.com/9AQ02y3yR1TAfL2eUX. Your generosity will enable us to continue delivering innovative solutions and enhancing the ATLAS platform for the benefit of the entire virtual aviation community. You can adjust your donation amount by increasing the quantity.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during the transition from FlightHub to ATLAS. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team. We are here to assist you and ensure a seamless experience.

Best regards,

Sam Neale

Announcement from Sam Neale

Dear valued customers and community members,

I am writing to inform you that I have decided to step down from my role as the leader of VACenter. This decision has been driven by my desire to pursue other interests and explore new opportunities, while still maintaining my commitment to the company and its mission.

Before relinquishing my leadership role, I am pleased to inform you that we will be aquiring Infinite Design. This acquisition will bring new capabilities and resources to our company, and will help us to continue delivering high-quality services to our valued customers.

Leadership of VACenter will be transferred to Matei and Robin, who will be running the company as a partnership. Both Matei and Robin have a wealth of experience and are well-suited to lead the company into the future. They have a proven track record of success and I have full confidence that they will continue to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

We would like to assure you that this transition will not impact the day-to-day operations of VACenter or our subsidiary VACloud. Our commitment to providing top-notch services to the virtual airline community remains unchanged.

We will continue to work hard to improve our services and we believe this change will bring many new and exciting opportunities for our customers and the company.

In addition I will be remaining with the company for a while to ensure a smooth transition and to support Matei and Robin in their new roles. My resignation will be effective on the 26th of January.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding this transition, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to discuss any issues you may have and provide any support that you need.

Thank you for your continued support and for choosing VACenter as your service provider.

Sincerely,
Sam Neale
